Community Guidelines

Indian Artists Global is a space to celebrate Indian art, culture and craft across the diaspora. To keep it safe, welcoming and genuinely cultural for everyone, every event, workshop, profile and shop listing must follow these guidelines.

We are strictly apolitical. This is a cultural platform. We do not host political content, rallies, protests, or anything that promotes hate or division — see the prohibited list below.

What's welcome

Classical, folk & contemporary music, dance and theatre
Visual & culinary arts, crafts, exhibitions and showcases
Workshops, classes and masterclasses that teach a skill
Cultural festivals, community meet-ups and family events
Authentic artist profiles and handmade / original products

What we prohibit

Listings that fall into any of the categories below are not allowed and will be removed. Repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension.

Rallies & protests

Rallies, marches, demonstrations, protests, agitations or mobilisation of any kind — regardless of cause.

Hate & discrimination

Hate speech or content that attacks, demeans or discriminates against people based on religion, caste, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or any protected characteristic.

Violence & harm

Content that promotes, glorifies or threatens violence, terrorism, self-harm, or endangers anyone's safety.

Communal or divisive content

Material that inflames religious, communal, regional or ethnic tensions, or that is derogatory toward any community or the platform.

Adult & explicit content

Sexual, pornographic or otherwise age-inappropriate content.

Illegal or prohibited goods

Weapons, drugs, alcohol/tobacco to minors, counterfeit, stolen, recalled or regulated items, live animals, or anything unlawful to sell.

Scams, fraud & spam

Misleading listings, fake events, fake discounts, phishing, off-platform payment requests, or repetitive spam.

Impersonation & misinformation

Impersonating artists, organisations or officials, fake credentials, or knowingly false claims.

How we enforce this

  • Every listing is screened automatically before it goes live; clear breaches are blocked and borderline ones are reviewed by our team.
  • Anyone can report a live listing using the Report button on its page.
  • We may remove content, warn, suspend or ban accounts, and cooperate with authorities where the law requires.
